働く人にとって5月の一大イベントといえば？もちろんメーデーです！
去年のメーデーはオンラインで参加しましたが、現地参加は初めてでした！

5/1、代々木公園に集合し、私が所属する労働組合も、近しい業界の全労連系労組と一緒に行進に参加し、その後交流会が開かれました。
私にとっては車上アナウンスをしてシュプレヒコールをリードするコーラー役デビューの日でもあり、我ながらかなり好評を博しました。
ほぼ初メーデーはとても楽しかったです。同僚たちと行進し、自分たちの主張を表明し、そしてもちろん、その後の交流会。
もっと目立つように出来たら尚よかったと思います。ダースさんがよく言っているように、「お祭り」ですから！

バレエファンにとって6月の一大イベントといえば？もちろんロイヤルバレエの日本公演です！ロイヤルバレエは毎夏にツアー公演をしていて、通常日本にも3年に1度来るのですが、今回はコロナのせいでタイミングが遅れました。ロイヤルバレエ（というか世界）のトッププリマ、マリアネラについてはコロナ後にも既に数回観に行ってはいますが、やはりロイヤルバレエの他のメンバーと一緒に踊っているのを観るのは、感動もひとしおです。オタク友達のAが最近バレエに興味があると言っていたので誘って行きましたが、彼女もマリアネラに特に感激したようで、誘って良かったなと思いました。その日のガラ公演でマリアネラは「ジュエルズ」の「ダイアモンド」を踊りましたが、彼女が素敵とか、あの人が綺麗とか、色々言っていたAも、マリアネラを知ってからは、他のプリマ達が踊るのを観ても同じように感じられないと言っていました。・・・分かる、その気持ち！
先日もロイヤルオペラハウスシネマシーズンで観てはいたのですが、Jamesが参加する「FOR FOUR」を生で観られたのも良かったです。ただ、今回の席はあまり良い席ではなかったので、超高性能オペラグラスを買う事を固く決心した回でした。

What’s the big event for workers in May? May Day, of course!

but it was the first time I joined onsite!
We gathered at Yoyogi park on 1st May, and then the labour union I am in marched with other member unions of National Confederation of Trade Unions from the similar industry and we had social afterwards.
I actually made my debuted as a caller, who does announcement over the car, and led the sprechchor with a couple of other callers. My caller was actually quite well received.
It was quite fun. Marching with colleagues, insisting on our opinions… then socialising, of course.
What I thought could have been better was that I wish it was more showy and outstanding. As Darthreider often says, it’s ‘festival’!

What’s the big event for ballet lovers in June? Royal Ballet’s Japan tour, of course! Royal Ballet has annual summer tour and normally comes to Japan every three years, but it was delayed this time due to the pandemic. I’ve been to see Marianela Núñez already a few times after the pandemic, but it’s so nice to see other Royal Ballet members as well. My otaku friend A has been interested in ballet these days, so I asked her to go together. Glad to hear that she’s also impressed by Marianela so much. Before she saw her performance of “Diamond” from “Jewels” at the gala, she said this person’s nice and that person’s beautiful etc., but she said she can’t see other primas the same, after getting to know Marianela. … I know what you mean! Also it was so nice to watch James performing “FOR FOUR”, which I’ve saw it already at the cinema the other day. The seat wasn’t very good this time though, and it made me determine to get a very very good opera glass.
