英題は私が勝手に訳したものです。
最初この本の宣伝を見かけた時、「なぜ、いつも頭から腐るのか!?」という文言や、「何故この国では誰も責任をとらないのか」みたいな文言を見て、何てズバリ言うんだろうと感心したのですが、作者の名前を見たら白井聡先生でした。・・・どうりで。
我が家に白井先生の本は3冊ほどありますが、読み終わったのはこの本が最初です。
まだまだ読まなければならない本が沢山あります。
全体として、よく纏められていると思いました。白井先生は舌鋒鋭く、現状の政府、社会、体制を説明しています。私は元々白井先生と近しい現状認識を持っているので、あちこちで、そうだそうだと頷きながら、スラスラと読む事ができましたが、元々共通認識を持っていない人には白井先生の鋭い批判の言葉は受け入れられるのかなぁというのが気掛かりです。
とりわけ面白かったというか、憂鬱だったのは、白井先生が紹介したとある研究結果です。政党を隠して政策だけを並べた場合、自民党の政策は全く人気がないのに、一方で自民党の政策として出しただけで人気が出るという研究結果です。例えば共産党の不人気な政策、日米安保の見直しという政策も、自民党の政策として出すだけで50%以上の支持を得られるそうです。如何に人々が自分たちを取り巻く現状や政策に無理解でいるか！

ところで、私の1番好きな漫画である「HUNTER x HUNTER」の連載がとうとう再開されました！一度はもう二度と連載再開しないのではと諦めかけましたが・・・。とにかく良かったです。最新単行本収録話の直後の話から週刊少年ジャンプで連載されています。という事で近頃週刊少年ジャンプが我が家に積み上がって邪魔になっています・・・。

I thought, how well said. Then I discovered the author of this was Shirai-sensei…. No wonder.
There’re three books by Shirai-sensei at home, but it’s the first one I completed reading. Still many books to read.
Overall, very well articulated. Shirai-sensei describes the government, current society, and the system very sharply. Since I originally have more or less the same recognition with him, I could read it quite smoothly, nodding here and there. I’m a little worried if his sharp criticisms are accepted by others, who originally don’t share the same recognition…
What was particularly interesting, or gloomy, was the research he introduced in the book. In the research, when people were to choose policies with political parties masked, LDP’s policies were not popular at all. On the other hand, people agree more when policies were told to be made by LDP. For instance, JCP’s quite unpopular policy, reviewing of the Japan-U.S Security Treaty also gets more than 50% of agreement, when it was labeled as LDP’s policy. Seems people don’t understand policies and situation around them at all!
Having said that, today’s ‘time for that’
My absolute favourite manga, HUNTER x HUNTER’s serialisation has finally restarted, by the way! Once I nearly gave up it ever would…. Finally. The chapter immediately after the end of the newest volume are serialised at weekly Shonen Jump. So the weekly Shonen Jumps have been taking up spaces at home these days….
