遅くなりましたが、7/10の選挙について纏めたいと思います。
良かったこと
- 山添拓くんが東京小選挙区で当選したこと
- 山本太郎が東京小選挙区で当選したこと
- オール沖縄（伊波洋一）が沖縄小選挙区で勝ったこと
- 福島みずほさんが議席を守ったこと
- 維新が言われていたほどは勝たなかったこと
山添拓くんが当落線上だと聞いた時は、何で同じところから出るんだよと山本太郎に散々文句を言いましたが、山添拓くんの当確が出てからは、ずっとテレビに向かって「山本太郎頑張れー！」と応援していました。何て現金なんでしょう。
残念だったこと
- 低い投票率
- 自民党が議席を増やした事
- それでも維新の議席が多い事
- 参政党みたいなとんでも党が議席を得た事
そして何より、
- 大門実紀史くんが落ちた事！信じられない・・・
友人や親戚に特定の候補者（山添拓くん）に投票してくれるよう頼んだのは、私にとって初めての事でした。しんぶん赤旗を配達してくれるHさんから「とても厳しい戦いになる」という話を聞いてからは更に周りの人に声を掛けました。でも同じように、いやそれ以上にMI☆KI☆SHIに入れてくれるよう、頼むべきでした・・・。
仕方ない、MI☆KI☆SHIには、参議院議員をしている内には出来ないような事をしてもらう事を期待するしかないですね。子供用絵本を描くとか、斎藤（幸平）先生とコラボするとか。（何で議員をしている内にはできないんだ？！）例え他の人には出来なくても、MI☆KI☆SHIになら出来ると信じてます。
選挙結果は予想通りの希望が見えない感じですが、現状を受け止めまた頑張りましょう。あとは楽しい事も忘れないようにしないと。深掘TVの参院選特番はすごく面白かったです！
もう一点、安部元首相の殺害。みんながその事について話していた（或いはマスメディアが繰り返し報道していた）ので、私が改めて言及する事もないかなと思い、当時は触れませんでした。
統一協会と自民党/安倍晋三との関係については澤藤さんの本で知っていましたが、こんなに根深い社会問題になっているとは知りませんでした・・・。
正直十分の一くらいしか読めていないんです（書影からは分かりませんが、すごく分厚い本なんです）。自民党の憲法草案なんて読む気になれないし・・・憲法自体の良い勉強にはなったんですけどね。

本日ロイヤルバレエガラを観に行ってきました！
ロイヤルバレエを生で観るのは3年ぶりでした！
マリアネラのバレエは相変わらず圧巻でした・・・「アフター・ザ・レイン」は鬱々とした美しさでした。クラシックバレエは究極の美と芸術であり、別世界に連れていってくれますが、コンテンポラリーは人間的な美しさを見せてくれると思います。「グラン・パ・クラシック」は完璧な輝きで、究極の美しさでした。
残念だったのは、マリアネラにプレゼントしたかったお菓子をコロナ対策のせいで渡せなかった事です。手紙は受付で預かってくれたのですが、手紙の方がもっと手で触るだろうに、何故手紙はOKでプレゼントはダメなのか、全く理解できません。
全体的に、女性ダンサーは良かったです。サラ・ラムとフランチェスカ・ヘイワードは安定してクオリティーが高かったです。2020年に引退したエドワード・ワトソンのダンスが見れたのも嬉しかったです。
しかし男性ダンサーは・・・ここ数年、ロイヤルバレエの昇級発表には納得いかない事が多いですが、どうやら今年もそうみたいでした。本気でパリオペラ座に乗り換えようかと思ってしまいます・・・。
I’ve finally got some time to wrap up the July 10th election.
What made me feel good;
- Taku Yamazoe got elected for Tokyo small electoral district
- Taro Yamamoto got elected for Tokyo small electoral district
- All Okinawa (Yoichi Iha) won the Okinawa small electoral district
- Mizuho Fukushima saved her seat in the House
- Ishin didn’t win as much as it’s said
After I heard that it was going to be a tough fight for Yamazoe Taku-kun, I complained a lot to Taro Yamamoto for running for the same district as him, but after Yamazoe Taku-kun’s election was confirmed, I quickly switched to back Taro Yamamoto… how easily swayed.
What was disappointing for me;
- Low voter turnout
- LDP increased its seats in the House
- Ishin still got too many seats
- Outrageous party like Sansei Party won a seat
and most of all….
- Mikishi Daimon didn’t get in! I couldn’t expect it….
It was the first time for me to ask friends or relatives to vote for particular person (Taku Yamazoe). I did so even more after Akahata newspaper old lady H-san told me that it’s gonna be a very tough fight. But I should have done the same, or more, for MI☆KI☆SHI!
Well… I hope he’ll do something he can’t do while being a member of the Upper House… like publishing picture books or collaborating with Saito-sensei (Kohei Saito). (Why can’t that be done when he’s a member?!) I believe MI☆KI☆SHI can, even if others can’t.
The election result was as hopeless as expected, but let’s face it and keep going. But let’s not forget having some fun in the meantime. The Upper House election featured programme by Fukabori TV was also very fun to watch.

One more thing… assassination of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. I didn’t touch this then, as I felt it was as if everyone was already talking (or just mass media was repeatedly reporting it) and there’s not much need for me to mention.
I’ve heard about the relation between LDP/Shinzo Abe and Unification Church from Sawafuji-san’s book, but didn’t know that it was such a deeply rooted problem in the society….
I gave up reading the book after reading one tenth, to tell the truth…. Can’t tell from the book cover, but it’s really thick and I can’t really be excited by LDP’s draft of Constitution… though it was a good learning of Constitution itself.

I went to see Royal Ballet Gala today!
Saw the live performance of Royal Ballet for the first time in 3 years! Finally….
Marianela’s ballet was as sublime as always… “After the Rain” was so melancholy and beautiful. I feel classic ballet takes you to another world, to the extreme beauty and art, while contemporary ballet shows more humane beauty. “Grand Pas Classique” was perfectly shining, absolute beauty.
What was disappointing was that we couldn’t give Marianela a gift (sweets) we prepared due to the coronavirus control measure… though letter was accepted at the reception. I don’t really understand why letter is ok and gift is not… people touch letters more, don’t we?
Overall, female dancers did well, especially Sarah Lamb and Francesca Hayward always show high quality. And I’m glad that I had a chance to watch the performance of former principal dancer Edward Watson, who’s already retired in 2020.
But the male dancers… I’m not convinced with so much part of promotion announcements of Royal Ballet these years, and it seems this year’s, too, is not very convincing for me. It seriously makes me wonder if I should switch to Paris Opera Ballet….
