皆さん、着なくなった服をどうしていますか？
今「シンプルなクローゼットが地球を救う」という本を読んでいる途中ですが、やはりいらなくなった服は服として再利用するのがリサイクルとかより一番環境に良いとのことです。
友人間なんかで着なくなった服を交換するクローズスワップにも興味ありますが、私は今のところファッション通販のwajaが行っているファッションチャリテイプロジェクトに寄付しています。
やり方は簡単で、
- 服を寄付する（無料で引き取ってくれます）
- 誰かが寄付した服を購入する
- 売上は全てNPOに寄付される
因みに私の場合は、みんなで子ども抱きしめる社会を目指す認定NPOのフローレンスさんに寄付しています。
売れる服でないとダメなので、低品質な服や着古した服は寄付できないので、そうした服は今のところ服の回収サービスに持っていく以外にあまり選択肢を見つけられていません。
・・・と、書いたそばから、ファッション・チャリティ・プロジェクトが2022年3月でサービス終了するというお知らせを受け取りました。何でだー！これからは国際環境NGOグリーンピース・ジャパンの勉強会で教えてもらった「古着deワクチン」に寄付することになりそうです・・・。
もちろん、一番環境に良いのは服を買わないことと、一度買ったら長く使うことです。
昔から母がたまにバザーで服を買ってくれたり、今も母や伯母のおさがりを着たりしていますが、今後は素敵なヴィンテージショップなんかも見つけられたらいいなと思っています。

先週東京に戻ってきました。今回の盛岡滞在は1週間と短かったです。
盛岡のお気に入りの場所の1つに、川徳のカフェモロゾフがあります。
モロゾフはどこにでもあると思っていたので最近まであまり興味なかったのですが、ここのカフェメニュー、特にプリンがすごく美味しいことを発見しました！
意外にも東京にも京都にもカフェモロゾフがなく、盛岡で行くしかないです。
カフェのプリンはお店のプリンと一緒なのかしらん？

How do you deal with clothes you no longer ware?
I’m reading my way through a book called “The Conscious Closet”, but it’s already clear that the best way to be environmentally friendly is to reuse clothes as clothes, rather than things such as recycling.
I’m also interested in clothes swaps, but for now, I donate my used clothes to Fashion Charity Project operated by the fashion EC service, waja.
- You donate clothing (They pick up your clothing for free)
- Someone buy the clothing you donated
- All the sales are donated to the NPO
For fashion charity project, I donate to authorised NPO Florence, which aims a society everyone ‘hugs’ children.
As the clothing should be salable, it doesn’t accept those with low quality or worn out.
So for those valueless clothing, I haven’t got many choices but bringing them to old clothe collection service yet.
After I wrote this, I received an announcement that this service will be terminated in March 2022. …Why! I think I have to use Furugi de Vaccine, which I got to know at the study session by International Environmental NGO Greenpeace Japan, after that…
Obviously, the most environmentally friendly action is not to buy, and use as long as possible once you buy.
My mother used to get some clothing at bazaar for me, or I still often ware hand-me-downs from my mother or aunt, but I hope I can also find some lovely vintage shops!
Having said that, today’s ‘time for that’
Last week, I was back in Tokyo. It was rather short stay in Morioka this time.
One of my favourite place to go to in Morioka is Café Morozoff in Kawatoku.
Until recently, I’ve had no interested in Morozoff as I thought it’s everywhere.
But I found its cafe menu, especially the custard pudding is very good!
Surprisingly, there’s no Café Morozoff in Tokyo, nor in Kyoto.
I wonder if its custard pudding in shop is the same as its cafe’s…
