It’s the International Women’s Day today!
I’m glad to find out that I haven’t missed mentioning about this day since when I started this blog, though I couldn’t do anything special for today, except for having mimosa flower, again mother purchased it!
2022: “Breast Cancer Examination”
2023: “A Female Diet Member that I Have My Eye on”
2024: “Belated International Women’s Day 2024”
2025: “Sayonara Nukes 2025 Spring” – well, even though it’s just one sentence, I mentioned it…!
I’m aware that the “Women’s Day Off” activity is showing a slight upturn in Japan as well, but it wasn’t so practical to do it for me… for one thing, today’s Sunday, and for another, brother’s not at home today. Just mother and me enjoying Sunday at home, even with house chores.
Speaking of woman, it’s said that current PM is the first ever female PM in Japan…. Although I believe there would have been fewer wars had the countries led by women, I’ve also known that being female is not a magic wand, especially seeing Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koie all these years. The question is of course, WHO that the female leader is.
Found a relevant article, which is easy to follow.

It’s pretty much regretable that PM Takaichi is treated as if she represents us, women.
Having said that, today’s ‘time for that’
After Sendai, I’ve been to another two Tomoharu Ushida Piano Recitals. At Koganei (Tokyo) and Minatomirai (Yokohama). Because of the hall or his approach to the piece, or perhaps both, each time is different, yet all are good. That’s why I can’t stop going to multiple concerts in one series….
Whenever I go to Yokohama, I look for a chance to stop by at Hotel New Grand, and fortunately, I had a chance this time!
Din’t notice I had the same cake as last time… well, it was more than 3 years ago after all!
