8日にIWDイベントに参加出来なかったので、後でそのアーカイブ動画を見ました。
45分頃から、猿田佐代弁護士のメイン講演が始まります。

IWDと平和がどう関係するのか、不思議に思うかもしれません。私が過去に経験したIWDイベントも、男女平等や女性の仕事生活など、よりジェンダーに特化したテーマでした。ですが、私はこのイベントのコンセプトに賛同します。全ての事は繋がっていますし、もちろん私達女性にとっても平和は基本な事は間違いありません。特にガザでの大量虐殺が続いているこの時期には、そう感じます。
私が猿田さんを初めて知ったのは、彼女がエアレボリューションに出演した時でした。

この番組がきっかけで、私はより積極的にデモや抗議活動に参加するようになりました。彼女は、そうした一見草の根のような活動がいかに重要かという事を教えてくれました。
エアレボリューションで話していた時もそうでしたが、彼女の話はとても筋が通っていて説得力があります。
それに、ナワリヌイだって言ってます。「諦めてはいけない」
と言いつつ、本日の「あったずもな」
3/8日はIWDですが、3/3は雛祭りです。たまたまこの日は、近所の日本共産党員Hさんを月1回訪問する日でした。前にもご紹介したように、Hさんは立派な雛人形を持っています。
いつもひな祭りを逃してしまう系「女子」なので、その日に雛祭りを見る事が出来て良かったです。

You might wonder how peace relates to IWD themes. I also experienced IWD events, whose theme were more gender specific, such as gender equality or working life of women, in the past. However, I agree with this event concept. Everything is connected, and without a doubt, peace is very fundamental thing for us women as well. Especially feeling so in this period, when genocide in Gaza is ongoing….
The first time I recognised Saruta-san was when she appeared on Air Revolution.

It was the programme, which made me join protests and activities more actively. She told me how important such seemingly grass roots activities are.
As was the case with the time she talked in Air Revolution, her talk was very reasonable and convincing.
Also, we are not allowed to give up, as Navalny said.
Having said that, today’s ‘time for that’
8th of March is IWD, but 3rd of March is Girls’ Festival in Japan. I happened to have monthly visit to neighbour JCP member H-san on that day. As mentioned, she has splendid dolls for girls festival!
