財務省近畿理財局に務めていた夫が、公文書の改ざんを強いられたことを苦にして自殺した件で、赤木雅子さんが起こしていた民事訴訟を政府が認諾したことは、多くの人にとってショックな出来事だったかと思います。
つまり政府は、森友学園への不公平な土地の売買や、それに関する公文書の改ざんへの政府/安倍元首相の関与に対する疑惑を闇に葬ることを宣言したということです。1億円を払うことで。もちろんそれは元を辿れば国民のお金です。
最初私は、もはや腐敗した政府がどんな酷いことをしたって驚かない、という感じでした。既にお馴染みの嫌悪感はありつつ。でも、ビデオニュース・ドットコムのニュースコメンタリーを見て、反省しました。やはり我々は不正義に対して怒り続けていかなければなりません。

At first, I was like, I wouldn’t be surprised by the action of corrupted government, however awful it would be. With the disgust that I’m already familiar with. But watching News Commentary by videonews.com, I thought I should reconsider. We should keep getting angry against injustice.

This is the challenge to our democracy. We should fight with the authoritarianism, especially in Japan’s case, somehow the ‘authority’ is the incompetent people.

As 26th is the Boxing Day, I followed modern UK tradition and did a bit of shopping… well online shopping though, as the sale was web store only.
