11月の頭に、「統一教会と政治・人権」をテーマとした憲法学習会に行きました。講師はジャーナリストの鈴木エイトさんです。
エイトさんは統一協会のエキスパートという事で有名ですが、ジャーナリストになる前に、仕事終わりや週末に、統一協会につかまりそうになった人々を救出するところから彼の活動が始まったという事は知りませんでした。ほんと、この世の中にはすごい人っていますよね。彼のトーク運びもとても秀逸で、面白かったです。既にテレビで見かけてご存知かもしれませんが、とても自然にジョークを混ぜるんです。
やや衝撃だったのは、次に気を付けるべき、避けるべき組織としてエイトさんが名前をあげたのがNPOのPOSSEだったという事です。POSSEはクルド人難民の支援などもしていたので、一時期ボランティアに参加しようかなと思っていたところでした、危なかった！
ウコンの力も、統一協会系企業が製造しているというのは知りませんでした。幸いなことに、飲んだ事はありません。

11月に盛岡に一瞬帰った際、やまやという人気のお蕎麦屋さんに行きました。滞在期間が短すぎて友人に会う時間はありませんでしたが、美味しいものは逃しませんでした！私はお肉の中で鴨が一番好きなのですが、同じく鴨肉好きの伯母は、鴨は西洋料理の方が美味しくない？と言っていました。うーん、そうかなぁ？少なくとも中華料理の鴨はとても好きです。

In early November, I went to a Constitutional study session theming Unification Church and politics and human rights, lectured by the journalist, Eito Suzuki.
I knew Eito-san is famous for being the specialist of Unification Church issue, but didn’t know that he started off by volunteering help escape potential victims after work and during weekends, before he’s even called as a journalist. Well this world… sometimes have someone respectable. The way he conveyed his talk, was also very funny. Making jokes in natural way, as you may already know from tv programmes he appeared.
What was also surprising was that he named NPO POSSE as one of the organisations that we had to be careful and avoid. It was the group that I thought of joining as a volunteer, as it aslo helped Kurdish refugees! I’ve narrowly escaped!
I didn’t know that the drink Ukon no Chikara was also manufactured by the Unification Church related company. Thankfully, I’ve never had it.
Having said that, today’s ‘time for that’
I had another soba dinner in the popular soba restaurant, Yamaya, when I was briefly back in Morioka in November. Since it was a very short stay that time, I couldn’t really meet up friends but still couldn’t miss good food! Duck is my favourite meat but my aunt said that duck with nicer as Western food while she also liked duck. Hmm… maybe? But Chinese duck dishes are also very nice.
