After I watched the film “TOKYO KURDS,” I’ve wanted to do something for refugees. I’m regret to say that I haven’t done anything yet.

And it seems it’s already two and half a year since then! How time flies as usual…. Has my blog improved a little since then?
I wanted to the festival last year but missed it, so this year, it was one step forward.
I went there with my regular friend A. A said that she felt slight hope when she saw crowd of Japanese people, including younger people, coming to the festival.
The festival was as fun as festivals are supposed to be. I felt I’d like to join more festivals indeed!
I was looking for ways to volunteers for refugees, and I’m glad that there were many hints there. The problem is how I should find time when I feel even busier… twice busier than 2 years ago…. oh well, I will do what I can do…! Hopefully I can update about this later on this blog.
Having said that, today’s ‘time for that’
As mentioned, I went to Kyoto via Gifu, during the weekend of 6th and 7th of July. Tomoharu Ushida held recital in Kyoto as well, with slightly different programme from Gifu. It seems many pianists want to play Liszt music, but it was the first time I listened him play Liszt live, except for shorter pieces for encores. Again, he introduced the wonder of Liszt, even to a person like me, who’s originally not much interested in Liszt. This kind of thing happens a lot, he keeps widening audiences’ world. The thing is… please release more CDs!
I didn’t forget to enjoy foods in Kyoto as always. Kyoto in summer also offers a lot of attractions! A bit off timing for the Gion Festival though.
