もう8月のことなんですけど、今日は印象に残った労働組合の活動の1つを紹介したいと思います。
核のない世界を！というテーマで8/8に開催された長崎フォーラムにオンライン参加しました。
日本マスコミ文化情報労組会議（MIC）による開催で、映演労連も加入しています。（私が所属する労働組合はこの映演労連に加盟しています）
労働組合に加入する前は、労働組合は労働者の権利を守るための団体だと思っていました。
でもそれだけではなかったです。労働組合はもっと積極的により良い世界を求めて活動しています。
労働者の生活も、社会と切っても切り離せないので、考えてみれば自然なことだったのかもしれませんが、それでも社会と自分は関係ないと思う人も多い昨今、貴重なことだと思います。
このイベント自体もとても勉強になりました。元々環境保護にも核兵器廃絶にも強い関心がありましたが、この時初めてこの2つは密接に関わっているということを認識しました。
イベント内で、私は何をしたら良いのか、どこから始めたらよいのか、質問しましたが、それに対する回答は、まずは知ること、情報を集めることから、ということでした。

盛岡には親戚の経営しているラーメン屋さんがあります。に干し屋-SINCHAN-というお店です。
先日ランチに行きました。
今年移転オープンしたばかりですが、ますます人気になっているようで、何よりです！

It was held in August, but I’d like to introduce an activity of labour union that impressed me.
I attended the online event Nagasaki Forum, which appealed nuclear-free world, held on 8th August 2021.
It was hosted by MIC (Japan Mass Media Culture Information Workers’ Union Conference), of which Federation of Cinema and Theatrical Workers UNION of JAPAN belongs (and the labour union I’m in belongs to this federation).
Before I joined labour union, I simply thought labour union as organisation aiming to protect the rights of employees.
But it was more than that. These labour unions actively seek for better world, not only better employment.
As our working life is inseparable from society, that’s probably a natural action, but still, many people these days think that this society is nothing to do with them, so I felt it’s a valuable thing to do.
The event itself was also very good learning opportunity. I had had strong interest in both environmental protection and abolition of nuclear weapons, but it was this time I recognised that these two are closely related.
In the event, I asked what I should do, where I should start from. The answer was to start from getting to know, and gathering information. I’d like to share information gathered here as well.
Having said that, today’s ‘time for that’
There’s my relative’s ramen shop in Morioka, called Niboshi-ya SINCHAN.
I had lunch there the other day.
It’s relocated and opened just this year, but glad to see it’s getting more and more popular!
